Why adopt Western threads when you can wear this get up? Amazing.

I love this guest post by Melbourne writer and actor Nicole Lee, and I think you will too.
I love Lena Dunham. Say what you will, but the fact that the girl wrote, directed and acted in her own show, while at the same time managing to make a nuanced commentary on the struggle of today’s…
It’s pretty disheartening having a unique name as a child. I was never able to find mugs or key rings with my name on it. All I wanted was to have a normal name that had nothing to do with a half-naked bear that shall remain nameless. It would have saved me a lot of grief from playground taunts too.
Queue my excitement when I saw “Winnie Bay” on the map during a trip to Avoca Beach last year. Sounds picturesque already.
After a small downhill hike, this is what we found.
Haha Gosford City Council. Poo. Winnie the Pooh. I get it.
I know someone who once entered every single competition she could get her hands on for a year.
All she won was a keyring. And many telemarketing calls.
If that isn’t worth a #FML, then I don’t know what is.

Late to class? Take the slide! Students at Technical University of Munich enjoy a four-story slides on a daily basis. If only New York had a similar system for commuters.

This track makes me feel like I’m in a tropical place, far away from rainy Sydney.

My review of the Angry Birds app for Sydney Morning Herald, 28 December 2010:
“A highly addictive game from Finnish game developer Rovio. Angry Birds is the top pay-for-use app in Australia. The aim is to help the angry birds to exact revenge on a group of green pigs who have stolen their eggs. Sure, it’s a strange premise but then name any computer game that doesn’t require us to suspend disbelief.”

My interview with Tom Sharah (pictured), the 2009 co-winner of the Annual Cabaret Showcase, and Gillian Cosgriff, a 2010 contestant; 3 December 2010, Sydney Morning Herald:
“Cabaret doesn’t have to involve singing cheesy tunes while lounging on a Steinway. Not for 22-year-old Sydney artist Tom Sharah. The co-winner of the 2009 Annual Cabaret Showcase has made it his mission to contradict that cliche by delivering more contemporary and accessible performances that target younger audiences.”
